Wayne Lomax is an anointed servant of God and man after God’s own heart.   Pastor Lomax serves as the Senior Pastor and visionary leader of The Fountain of New Life of Pembroke Pines, one of Broward County’s fastest growing congregations.

  In 1996, God planted the seed within Pastor Lomax while serving as Assistant Pastor at New Mount Olive Baptist Church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to establish roots and minister in Southwest Broward County Florida.   Heeding the call of God, Pastor Lomax and his beautiful wife, Teresa, began their faith walk by cultivating the vision through home-based Bible studies with ten other families.   It was then that the rivers of The Fountain of New Life of Pembroke Pines began to flow.

  Committed to provide opportunities for spiritual growth through worship, study, prayer, fellowship and service, Pastor Lomax has led The Fountain of New Life in meeting the needs of the community through over thirty ministry streams.   Following Jesus’ example of serving others, Pastor Lomax’s passion for international and domestic missions permeates the hearts of The Fountain of New Life servants, resulting in missions’ presence in Nigeria, Honduras, and Haiti and throughout the United States.

  Born in Pender County, North Carolina, Pastor Lomax attended the historic Lincoln University in Lincoln, Pennsylvania before receiving a degree in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill (1979).   While dreaming of becoming a medical doctor, God called him to shepherd His people. Pastor Lomax enrolled at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky where he received the Master of Divinity Degree (1984).   While attending seminary, Pastor Lomax served as Shepherd of the York Street Baptist Church in Louisville (1982–1984) before accepting the call to serve Dr. Mack King Carter at the Mount Olive Baptist Church (1985-1997).

  With more than twenty-five years of ministry experience, Pastor Lomax’s thirst for Jesus has driven his faithfulness in serving others.   In addition to his commitment to The Fountain of New Life, Pastor Lomax also serves as a member of Florida Memorial University’s Board of Trustees and The P.R.E.S.S. Coalition.   Pastor Lomax is also the founder and CEO of High Five Life Development Corporation which provides substance abuse and HIV/AIDS education, prevention and intervention programs.      

  Pastor Lomax and his beautiful wife Teresa, have three children, Christopher, Marcus and LeReine.
